白色啄食母雞公仔

I placed this little porcelain hen on my kitchen windowsill, and the glaze has a subtle sheen that catches the morning light beautifully. The way she's frozen mid-peck adds such a lively farmhouse feel to the room.

The way her head is tilted down, frozen mid-peck, is so lifelike it almost feels like she's about to swallow a grain. It reminds me of a calm morning watching the chickens in my grandmother's yard.

The downward pecking pose is what sold me — it actually looks mid-action, not frozen. Sits on my windowsill next to the coffee maker and makes me smile every morning.
