The little tortoise sits on my desk next to the monitor and the shell detail honestly looks hand-painted. I didn't expect the star pattern to be this crisp up close. It's heavier than it looks too, so it doesn't slide around.

The star-shaped patterns on the shell are painted so cleanly, you can really see why they call it the star tortoise. It's sitting on my bookshelf next to a little succulent and looks like it crawled straight out of a dry Indian scrubland. Way more detail than I expected for the price.

The star-shaped shell pattern is even more intricate up close, and it's a nice pick if you like unusual animals rather than the usual cats and dogs. Only downside is it's lighter than I expected, but the paint job makes up for it.
