Le Pentacératops est un dinosaure herbivore qui vivait en Amérique du Nord il y a environ 75 millions d’années, durant le Crétacé supérieur. Il pouvait atteindre 8 mètres de long et se reconnaissait à sa grande collerette et à ses cinq cornes.
Fait intéressant : sa large collerette servait probablement à se défendre contre les prédateurs, mais aussi à se faire remarquer lors des parades. Ses cornes spectaculaires en faisaient l’un des cératopsiens les plus impressionnants.
